Twenty-five years ago, Harry Witz founded db Sound Image a world-renowned touring sound company, located in Chicago Illinois. In 2007, dB Sound was acquired by Clair ShowCo retaining Harry as General Manager of Clair ShowCo Chicago.
An education in electrical engineering coupled with an avid love of music and experience as a guitar player made Harry's choice of vocation seem quite natural. A sound reinforcement company that contracts to provide audio for live events is the perfect blend of technology and art suited for a mind like Harry's. Throughout the years, db Sound Image has provided systems for some of the biggest names in music. Some recent clients include The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and The Allman Brothers Band. Harry Witz has toured internationally with some of the largest acts around. He is recognized for his accomplishments worldwide in the sound reinforcement industry and is considered an authority in the live arts.
In the 80's, Harry engineered hundreds of shows on tours with Heart, Kansas, REO Speedwagon, Kiss, Triumph, Richard Marx, Survivor, and Cheap Trick.
Not only has Harry achieved much success as a sound engineer, he is also known as an industry innovator and has been a consultant to JBL, DBX, XTA, EV and Yamaha to name a few. Throughout the years Mr. Witz has assisted in the development of various technologies in recording and sound reinforcement that have become standards for manufacturers. Harry has designed and supervised all sizes of systems including stadium and larger including:

In addition, db Sound has installed many permanent sound systems in venues throughout the country. Most notably Harry has been the chief audio consultant during constructions and remodeling of all House of Blues projects.
Additionally, Harry is well known throughout the recording industry as a mixer and producer for such bands as AC DC, Cheap Trick, Kenny Whayne Sheppard, and Duran Duran in both stereo and 5.1 formats. In recent years, Harry has designed and built a number of recording studios, and supplied recording equipment and services for Paul McCartney and the Allman Brothers Band, and Ministry to name a few.
