Grammy Nominated and Na Hoku-Winning Song Writer and Recording Artist
Roland Cazimero, one of Hawaii's best-kept secrets, has been playing music professionally since he was eight years old. He was recruited into his parents' band and played the stand up bass as a child. The bass is Roland's instrument, but today he is considered an extraordinary icon and a legendary guitarist and artist. Self taught, Roland plays with such passion, he literally becomes the guitar. His deep and emotional connection to the music is evident, because what you hear with each strum is the magical sounds of an orchestra. One of his favorites, a double neck Koa guitar, was played so intensely, it ended up with a crack that would systematically travel around the middle perimeter. Like cars, Roland plays hard, as if driving a hot rod! That's his other passion, Hot Rod Cars!
Not only does Roland have a sound that is uniquely his own, but his style is exquisite and rarely duplicated. As a multi talented entertainer, he is a profound songwriter, arranger, falsetto & baritone singer. Nominated to the Grammy and a multiple Hoku Award winner with his brother, Robert Cazimero, Roland has several solo CD's to his collection. He has written the music and lyrics to "Pele, Roland Cazimero Presents His Music for Pele a Myth From Hawaii" and "Warrior", honoring King Kamehameha the Great! In addition, together with Keali`i Tau`a, Roland co-wrote music for the infamous double hulled canoe, the Hokule`a. Today Roland continues his journey and is still writing.
Finally, "Roland Cazimero - Waikiki's Greatest Hits. NOW!" It has been a long time favorite for those who love the popular hapa haole tunes that have been brought back to life through the magical artistry of his distinct style. If you love the sounds of the guitar, you'll indeed love this master & wizard, Roland Cazimero.
He dedicates his music and gives ke Akua all the praises, honor and glory; because he knows that all the creative gifts and blessings come from HIM alone. Let the lesson begin... |
