Multiple Grammy and Na Hoku Hanohano winner, the Reverand Dennis David Kahekilimamaoikalanikeha Kamakahi is a prolific composer of the Native Hawaiian Music genre.
He began playing the ukulele at the age of 3 and began playing slack key guitar at the age of 10.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dennis has won numerous awards and is a 2009 inductee into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame. His songs have been featured in movies such as Disney's "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" as well as on the corresponding CD and DVD releases.
Dennis performs in live concerts around the world and is a reknowned teacher of Hawaiian slack key guitar, the History of Hawaiian Songs and their meaning, and gives songwriting workshops in both Hawaii and the U.S. Mainland.
