The 2012 KMF Songwriter Conference will be held

The Kaua'i Music Festival (KMF) Songwriter Conference is a 4-day celebration of the art & craft of songwriting held on the island of Kaua'i, Hawaii.
At the KMF Songwriter Conference, you will learn songwriting and/or refine your skills through interaction with some of the best professional songwriters in America. In addition, throughout the conference, your music will be heard by people in the music industry who really can make a difference to your career. Through our one-on-one meetings, small group sessions, workshops, panel discussions, open mic activities, and more, you will be able to consult and get feedback directly from the award-winning songwriters, Grammy and Emmy-winning producers, TV & Film Music Supervisors, top A&R Executives, and other music industry people in attendance - all in the creative, low-pressure atmosphere of an island paradise!
There's nothing like it anywhere... just ask anyone who has ever attended - in our post event 2011 survey, 100% of the respondents (over 60 people!) again indicated they would recommend the KMF to friends and family! Young or Old, Beginner or Expert, Everyone In-Between, and All Genres!
Our attendees cover a vast range of genres and experience and travel here from all over the world. No matter where you stand as a songwriter, there is room for every type of individual at the Kaua'i Music Festival. Our attendees have ranged from thirteen to eighty-two.
We have had people attend who are just beginning their career or hobby as a songwriter and want to learn about the entire songwriting business. On the other hand, we’ve had other attendees who are very accomplished and are looking for expert advice and guidance that only the best in the business can provide.
The genres of our attendees' music spans rock, pop, R&B, country, and urban to contemporary Hawaiian and everything in between.
So... if you are wondering if the KMF Songwriter Conference is right for you, we say with confidence "Absolutely!" |

The Kaua'i Music Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in its ninth year.
The Mission of the KMF is to promote, sustain, and develop education in the musical arts across all genres including contemporary and traditional Hawaiian music.
This is accomplished through a series of educational, networking, and showcase events held throughout the year, culminating in the signature 4-day KMF Songwriter Conference held annually in July on the "Garden Island" of Kaua'i.
In addition to the annual Songwriter Conference, the KMF organizes and hosts other educational, networking, and showcase events throughout the year. These include:
- KMF Songwriter Search - annual songwriting contest with the winner getting free attendance to the annual KMF Songwriter Conference
- KMF Songwriter Showcases - to showcase the talents of upcoming new singer/songwriters at various venues around the country
- KMF / Nashville Songwriters Reunion - an annual showcase & networking event hosted in Nashville for former KMF attendees & staff members
Other events currently under consideration are the KMF downunder and the
KMF / LA Connection - "mini events" to be held annually in Australia and Los Angeles.
